Kenyon Houchins was born in Hallettsville, Texas on July 31, 1915. He graduated from South Texas School of Law in 1939. In the early 1950’s, Houchins began his career as legal attorney in Houston with lawyer Percy Foreman, at 1116 Capital Avenue. By 1955 he had moved his services to 1207 Welch Avenue and by the 1960’s began a longstanding partnership with Lonalee H. Tasker.
